An Honest Look at Hodgkin’s

by Mac

My Ride on the Hodgkin’s Bus is down to earth, and spends time discussing the emotions that cancer patients and survivors go through, such as anger and fear. The blogger, a 31 year old woman with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, is refreshingly honest about her thoughts and feelings. For example, she writes that there are a lot of rare side effects and outcomes of treatment, but she’s not going to write about them “because they happen to Someone Else.” I think that’s what everyone thought before the word cancer was applied to them. The blogger is also a swimmer, and it’s great to see that she was able to return to her athletic activities, albeit with a bit of soreness.

Hello,

I am new to your blog and was happy to see that you mentioned surviving cancer and returning to activities. So many family and friends of mine have suffered this disease in some form and I decided to do something about it. So, I started http://www.servantheartproject.com, an inspirational publishing business with my first project as a book called Beating Cancer: Stories of People Who Are Surviving and Thriving. I’m collecting stories and will publish them with a byline of the writer. The writer also will receive a FREE ebook.

There is a blog linked to the site, too. I frequently write for the health and medical communities and am very passionate about helping people stay positive through any painful journey, but particularly one of cancer.

I hope you’ll consider visiting my site and sharing it with your friends.

Thanks for your honesty and best wishes to you.

Mac, it is really good to hear from you again. I’m sure you and April have been very involved in the fight, the search, and also LIFE together! We hold you in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers whether we are seeing new blogs or not. I just know that one of these days you are going to write that the right medication has been found, and April is getting better and better. That is our prayer. We send both of you lots of love. Anne
