Funeral Service This Saturday

by Mac

Dear loved ones – April’s service will be at Mynatt’s Funeral Home in Fountain City (click here for directions).

The Service begins at 11 am this Saturday, August 22nd, and will be followed by receiving of friends.  If you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, you may do so by mailing or calling in a donation to Camp Wesley Woods, where April and I met.

We love you and look forward to seeing you then.

Mac

Mac,

Tracey and I were both stunned when we read your announcement. If there is anything we can do for you, all you have to do is let us know. I have been in contact with Ricky, and we will both be there in Fountain City tomorrow.

Mac, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss. I know April was an amazing woman and you have been so strong to help her through this. God bless you and know that April will always be around in your thoughts and dreams. Take care of yourself.

Mac,

You know words seem so pointless right now, but I’m here for you if you need me. 24/7 You have the number and you know I understand. Call me.

Mac,
I was moved by your wisdom and words today.
I was listening to a song this morning and it made me think of how strength and love can be reflected to one another, especially your constant compassion and strength for April. I was to shy to come up and share it today, but I might here.

I’ll be your mirror reflect what you are, in case you don’t know
I’ll be the wind, the rain and the sunshine,
light to your door to show that your home
when you feel the night is in your mind, and inside your twisted and unkind
let me stand to show that you are blind
please put down your hands, because I see you
I’ll be your mirror…

Please call on us for anything.

Mac~
I was saddened when I learned of April’s passing while I was in South Carolina; you and your family continue to be in my prayers. April demonstrated incredible strength and determination during the last two years. April’s life was far too short, but the love you shared and the memories you made together far exceeded your time together. I pray that God will brings peace and contentment that passes all understanding to you and your families. As always…..I’m only a phone call away.

Love,
WOB DC

Mac,
I only met April a few times, but knew she was a strong and special person, much like you. Words like someone else said are kind of empty at times as these. You have a friend here if you need me. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mac, April’s memorial service inspired me and changed my life for the better. Thank you, both.
Several of us who work with Marsha made donations to the Knoxville office of Susan G. Koman for the Cure. (We didn’t know about Wesley Woods at the time.) Several of us will be walking / running in memory of April on October 24.

Thank you so much, Debra. Donations to Susan Komen and participating in Race for the Cure are both excellent ways to honor April’s memory, and I truly appreciate it.
