This morning Jeniffer Pickwell, the Nurse Practitioner working with Dr. Gharavi, came by to say that April was stabilized enough to go home. Yeah!
We’re not completely home – actually, we’re visiting with April’s parents for now. Paul and Barbara’s home is just 5 minutes away from St. Mary’s North where April was admitted, and Barbara can stay home with April to help take care of her while I go back to work. April and I will go back home when she’s a bit more stable than she currently is.
Her liver is still very much under attack, so we’re not out of the woods yet, but we didn’t know if April would be able to leave the hospital at all, so for her to have stabilized so quickly is a real God Send.
And speaking of God Sends, there’s no end to the amount of praise that I could offer to you, our beloved friends and family: churches, co-workers, life-long friends and all points in between. We are so very blessed to have you.
That’s all for now. We love you!

Mac, when Catherine and Jim were young children, they had a plastic clown-type figure about three feet high. The bottom of that little toy was filled with sand so that he would pop right back up when he was knocked down. We called him “Boppo.” All of our family call people “Boppo” when they are able to continue to pop back from the trials and tribulations they are facing. April is one of the strongest “Boppos” of all! We are so very, very thankful that she has been able to leave the hospital. What happy news that is! Anne
We love you too! I was so happy when Marcus told me she was got to go home!
Mac, it’s nice to hear April is out of the hospital. You both are in our prayers.
Love you guys
We are soooo glad April got to go home! And sooo glad she has a Mom to help take loving care.We are praying for her and you too, Mac. We love you two. Becky H.
Dearest Mac and April,
I just want you to know that not a day…an hour really…. goes by without you both penetrating my thoughts and prayers. Your ears must be ringing nonstop.
Please do not forget how loved you truly are.
April, you are the bravest woman …or BOPPO , I know…You simply amaze me and I thank you for that daily reminder.
We love you both,
